I went to New York for my first time and did a kundalini yoga teacher training class and had a wonderful time. I flew on a plane for the first time. I was nervous, thinking how would I feel and how would I be entertained, but my flight went well. My first time in New York I was thinking would it be like Chicago when I landed

My first time walking in the yoga studio I was ready but wasn’t prepared for the exercises, but now I understand the teaching that they gave out.

Being in New York taught me that I can adapt to anywhere I go, to appreciate the blessings that’s coming my way and life is too short to be worried about something that can be replaced. I seen homeless people on the street looking for food inside a garbage can. I bought them something to eat even though I didn’t have enough money for myself. And I have learned that giving can be effective in a good. Giving to me heals my soul and give me hope that we are getting better in our community.

I felt excited being in New York and I would like to do it again.

Here is a poem I wrote:

Never give in
Protect the body u live in
The world is crazy
I fed up its about to end
When u love someone don’t pretend
Imagine greatness without the sins
Use these tools they are for sharing
