We are proud to announce that our Co-Executive Director Quentin Mables was selected as one of Crain’s 20 in their 20s for his inspiring work with I Grow Chicago in Englewood. Just a few short years ago, our founder Robbin Carroll stood on the street corner of 64th and Honore, passing out Subway sandwiches and sharing her ideas for a Peace House. Quentin was one of the first people to stand up and commit to taking back his community, and he immediately began cleaning up trash from the street. Quentin has continued to demonstrate his immense love for his community ever since.

This recognition through Crain’s is an incredible honor not only for Quentin himself, but all of us at I Grow Chicago. We are all humbled to be a part of Quentin’s life and support his powerful leadership to make Chicago a more equitable place.

We see the unlimited potential in all people. Quentin’s story shows the impact of opportunity, compassion, and determination on individuals and communities as a whole. You can read the full story here.
