It is not enough to be a non-racist; one must be actively anti-racist. Some corporations are still learning this principle, which will greatly impact their operations. It’s not enough to include a few Black models in a campaign; brand builders need to ensure Black models are paid the same as every other model. It’s not enough to hire a few minorities to boost diversity; companies are truly diverse when their leadership is diverse. Thus, corporal anti-racism requires genuine integration and equal treatment of minorities in the company, sharing of resources (i.e. money and skills), and uplifting of BIPOC voices.
